Questions and Answers

Q

How long are group walks?

A

A walk is for an hours duration. Dogs are out for approximately 2 and a half hours from collection to drop off as we drive to countryside locations for the walk.

Q

Are dogs allowed off lead?

A

Dogs are allowed off the lead if they have good recall. An off lead consent form must be filled by the customer prior to their dog being allowed off the lead.

Q

Does my dog have to be neutered?

A

It is recommended that dogs are neutered to avoid unwanted behaviour due to hormones. Bitches in season are not able to join group walks.

Q

Do I need to be at home when you collect my dog?

A

You need not be at home for collection and drop off if you have provided a key.

Q

How far do I need to book ahead?

A

Regular customers can let me know at the weekend which days they require during the following week. Group walk dogs who have set days have priority as there is a maximum number of dogs I am able to take per walk.

Pet visits can be booked up until the morning before if an initial assessment visit has been made previously.

Otherwise I am able to visit during most evenings for an assessment to be made and contract forms to be filled.

The forms are to provide detailed requirements that your pet might have, emergency contact numbers, vets details etc.

Q

Do you have a cancellation policy?

A

I ask for any changes in bookings to be made by 7am that morning to avoid any charges, for example if your dog is ill of you have an unexpected day off work.

Q

Do I have to book set days every week or can days be flexible?

A

Booking set days or in advance for group walks does allow your dog priority, however it is not essential to do so. I am more than happy to receive day requests at the weekend before the coming week.

Q

Are you insured and DBS checked?

A

I am fully insured and have been DBS checked. Documents can be provided on request.

Q

Do you still take dogs out in inclement weather conditions?

A

Dogs can be walked in most weather conditions unless it is unsafe to do so or particularly unpleasant.

In very hot weather we provide house visits to allow the dogs in the garden rather than group walks.

Q

If I need your services from tomorrow can I book in?

A

An initial assessment visit must be carried out prior to booking. If you contact me by email for the quickest response, it may be possible to visit the evening before.

Q

Do you clean dogs before they are returned home if they are muddy?

A

The vans are fitted with a portable shower for muddy dogs.
